IEPF Consultant in Chennai: Share Recovery for Tamil Nadu Families, Handled Remotely

Expertvuw is a Delhi-based firm that helps Chennai and Tamil Nadu families recover old physical shares, unclaimed dividends and shares transferred to IEPF without travelling to Delhi. Your case is handled remotely from start to finish. Any document that needs signing or notarising is done by you in your own city, and we guide you on exactly what is needed.

Quick answer

Expertvuw has no Chennai office, and your claim does not need one. We handle the company and registrar correspondence remotely and IEPF claims are filed online in your name. You stay the applicant and all shares and money are credited to your own accounts.

Why Chennai families hold so many old shares

Chennai has a long investing history through the former Madras Stock Exchange, and many families still hold paper certificates of companies headquartered in the south as well as national blue chips. Typical situations include:

  • physical certificates in the name of a deceased parent or grandparent
  • folios with old addresses, initials-based names or signatures that no longer match PAN and Aadhaar
  • dividends unpaid for years and shares transferred to IEPF
  • heirs settled abroad who cannot attend offices in India

Chennai-based registrars you may deal with

Several registrars and share transfer agents are based in Chennai, including Cameo Corporate Services Limited on Club House Road and Integrated Registry Management Services Private Limited. Being in the same city as the registrar does not shorten the process, because registrars act on complete written requests. We prepare those requests, track them and answer the registrar's queries.

Legal heir certificates in Tamil Nadu

Where the holder has died without a nominee, companies and registrars ask for proof of heirship. In Tamil Nadu the legal heir certificate is issued by the Tahsildar, and larger or disputed holdings may need a succession certificate from a civil court, filed through an advocate. Many Tamil Nadu names are recorded with initials, which is a frequent cause of name-mismatch queries; this is corrected before the claim is lodged. See our guide to the legal heir certificate in Chennai and our legal heir share recovery page.

How the remote process works

The work follows the same national process wherever you live. In broad stages:

  1. Case review by video call, phone or WhatsApp, to understand what you hold and which official route applies.
  2. Records and KYC. We trace the folio, the company and its registrar, and map the family tree where the holder has died.
  3. Paperwork with the company or registrar. We prepare the forms and letters; you sign them in Chennai and courier originals only when they are asked for.
  4. IEPF claim, where needed. The claim is filed online in your name, and we follow up with the company and the IEPF Authority until the claim is decided.

Frequently asked questions

Does Expertvuw have an office in Chennai?

No. Expertvuw is based in Delhi, with its registered office in Dwarka and a corporate office in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram. We serve Chennai clients remotely by video call, phone, WhatsApp, email and courier, and clients who prefer to meet in person are welcome at our Gurugram office by appointment.

Do I need to travel to Delhi for my claim?

No. IEPF claims are filed online, and companies and registrars work on documents received by courier and email. Any paper that must be signed or notarised is executed by you in Chennai.

Why does it matter that my documents are signed in Tamil Nadu?

Papers such as indemnity bonds and affidavits are executed on stamp paper, and stamp duty is set by the state where they are signed. We tell you which documents to execute, on what stamp value and in what wording, so they are accepted the first time.

How long does a claim take?

Timelines depend on the company, the registrar and how complete your documents are, so we do not promise dates. Registrar requests move once complete documents are received; IEPF claims take longer because both the company and the IEPF Authority verify them.

My father's name appears with initials on the certificate. Is that a problem?

It is a common query, not a bar. Where the name on the certificate differs from PAN, Aadhaar or the death certificate, the registrar asks for proof that both names are the same person. We identify this at the start and prepare the correction papers before the claim is lodged. See name mismatch correction.
