IEPF Consultant in Ahmedabad: Unclaimed Share Recovery for Gujarat Families

Expertvuw is a Delhi-based firm that helps Ahmedabad and Gujarat families recover unclaimed shares, dividends and other investments without travelling to Delhi. We handle your case remotely from start to finish. Any document that needs signing or notarising is done by you in your own city, and we guide you on exactly what is needed.

Quick answer

Expertvuw has no Ahmedabad office, and your claim does not need one. We work with you remotely, prepare the paperwork, deal with the company and its RTA, and file the IEPF claim online in your name where it applies. Money is paid only into your own account.

Why Gujarat families often have unclaimed shares

Gujarat has a long tradition of family investing in listed companies, and many households still hold physical certificates or old folios bought by an earlier generation. Shares are most often left unclaimed when:

  • the original holder has died and the family does not know which companies the shares were in
  • certificates are in joint names and one or more holders have since died
  • the folio carries an old address, signature or name spelling that no longer matches current KYC
  • dividends went unclaimed for seven years and the shares were moved to IEPF

RTAs with offices in Ahmedabad

Some registrars and share transfer agents (RTAs) are based in or have offices in Ahmedabad, for example Accurate Securities & Registry Pvt Ltd in Makarba and a branch of MCS Share Transfer Agent Ltd. Many Gujarat companies, though, use RTAs in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi or Hyderabad. Either way, the process runs on written requests and documents, and we manage the follow-up so you do not need to visit any office.

How the remote process works

The work follows the same national process wherever you live. In broad stages:

  1. Case review by video call, phone or WhatsApp, to understand what you hold and which official route applies.
  2. Records and KYC: we trace the folio, the company and its RTA, and map the family tree where the holder has died.
  3. Paperwork with the company or RTA: we prepare the forms and letters; you sign them in Ahmedabad and courier originals only when they are asked for.
  4. IEPF claim, where needed: the claim is filed online in your name, and we follow up with the company and IEPFA until the shares or dividends are credited.

Gujarat families with members abroad

Many Gujarat families have members living overseas. Where an heir or claimant is abroad, documents signed outside India usually need notarisation and an apostille or attestation by an Indian mission. We confirm what the specific company or RTA accepts before anything is signed. See share recovery for NRIs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Expertvuw have an office in Ahmedabad?

No. Expertvuw is based in Delhi, with its registered office in Dwarka and a corporate office in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram. We serve Ahmedabad clients remotely by video call, phone, WhatsApp, email and courier, and clients who prefer to meet in person are welcome at our Gurugram office by appointment.

Do I need to travel to Delhi for my claim?

No. IEPF-5 claims are filed online, and companies and RTAs work on documents received by courier and email. Any paper that must be signed or notarised is executed by you in Ahmedabad.

Why does it matter that my documents are signed in Gujarat?

Papers such as indemnity bonds and affidavits are executed on stamp paper, and stamp duty is set by the state where they are signed. We tell you which documents to execute, on what stamp value and in what wording, so they are accepted the first time.

How long does a claim take?

Timelines depend on the company, the RTA and how complete your documents are, so we do not promise dates. RTA requests move once complete documents are received; IEPF claims take longer because both the company and IEPFA verify them.

The shares were bought by my grandfather and we only have old papers. Is that enough to start?

Often, yes. Old certificates, dividend warrants, bank entries or letters from the company can be enough to trace the folio. We check the records and tell you what else will be needed before any paperwork is prepared.
