Share recovery Gurugram: services

Unclaimed shares recovery in Gurugram: how shares go missing

Shares rarely vanish; they move. If dividends stay unpaid for 7 consecutive years, the company transfers both the dividends and the shares to IEPF. IPO, bonus or split shares that could not be delivered are parked in the company's unclaimed suspense account, where corporate benefits keep accruing but voting rights are frozen. Shares of merged companies usually sit with the successor company, its suspense account or IEPF, according to the scheme's swap ratio.

Old physical certificates are a separate issue: transfers of physical shares have been barred since 1 April 2019, so they must be dematerialised before they can be sold. KYC must also be updated before a company or RTA will process any request.

IEPF consultant in Gurgaon: the claim in brief

An IEPF claim starts with an entitlement letter from the company or its RTA, followed by online Form IEPF-5, e-verification by the company and a decision by IEPFA. Since October 2025, IEPFA's integrated claims portal offers pre-filled forms, PAN and OTP verification and multiple folios in one claim. There is no time limit to claim and no filing charge. You can file yourself; we help where records are old, incomplete or spread across several companies.

How we work

  1. Review: we go through your papers at the meeting or over WhatsApp
  2. Tracing and documents: we confirm where each holding is and what each institution needs
  3. Filing and follow-up: you remain the applicant; we prepare and track submissions
  4. Credit: shares go to your demat account and money to your own bank account

Expertvuw is a registered company and is not affiliated with IEPFA, SEBI or any RTA. Clients closer to west Delhi can also visit our Dwarka registered office. Book an appointment or an initial case review.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Expertvuw's Gurugram office?

Our corporate office is at Plot No. 249, Phase IV, Udyog Vihar, Sector 18, Gurugram 122015. It is open 10 AM–7 PM, Monday to Saturday, and client meetings are by appointment. Call or WhatsApp +91 88829 91427 to fix a time before you visit.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

Yes. Meetings at the Gurugram office are by appointment so that the right team member is available and has time to review your documents. When you book, we will tell you which papers to bring for your particular situation, such as certificates, IEPF notices or heirship documents.

What should I bring for a share recovery meeting?

Bring share certificates, dividend warrants or company letters, your PAN and address proof, and your bank and demat details. If the holder has died, bring the death certificate and any will, nomination or heirship papers. Copies are fine for a first meeting; never share OTPs or passwords.

Can I recover old physical shares in Gurugram?

Yes, but physical shares must first be dematerialised, because transfers of physical shares have been barred since 1 April 2019. If the certificates are lost, a duplicate can be issued in demat form; SEBI's December 2025 circular simplified documentation for holdings up to ₹10 lakh.

Can I file an IEPF claim myself?

Yes. Form IEPF-5 has no filing charge, there is no time limit to claim, and the IEPFA helpline is 14453. The integrated claims portal launched in October 2025 makes filing easier. Help is most useful when several companies, a deceased holder or mismatched records are involved.

Is Expertvuw an agent of IEPFA or the RTA?

No. Expertvuw Management Pvt Ltd is a registered company that supports claimants with tracing, documentation and follow-up. We are not affiliated with IEPFA, SEBI or any RTA. You stay the applicant, and shares and money go only into your own accounts.
