Expertvuw is a Delhi-based firm that helps Kolkata and West Bengal families recover old physical shares, unclaimed dividends and other investments without travelling to Delhi. We handle your case remotely from start to finish. Any document that needs signing or notarising is done by you in your own city, and we guide you on exactly what is needed.
Expertvuw has no Kolkata office, and your claim does not need one. We handle the company and RTA correspondence remotely and file IEPF claims online in your name where they apply. You stay the applicant and all money is paid into your own account.
Kolkata is one of India's oldest stock market centres; the Calcutta Stock Exchange dates back to 1908. Many families still hold certificates from long-established companies, some of which have since merged, been renamed or changed their registrar. Typical situations include:
Several registrars and share transfer agents (RTAs) are headquartered in Kolkata, including Maheshwari Datamatics Pvt Ltd on R.N. Mukherjee Road and MCS Share Transfer Agent Ltd. Being in the same city as the RTA does not shorten the process, because RTAs act on complete written requests. We prepare those requests, track them and answer the RTA's queries for you.
The work follows the same national process wherever you live. In broad stages:
Where an heir or claimant lives outside India, documents signed abroad usually need notarisation and an apostille or attestation by an Indian mission. We confirm the specific company's or RTA's requirements first. See share recovery for NRIs.
No. Expertvuw is based in Delhi, with its registered office in Dwarka and a corporate office in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram. We serve Kolkata clients remotely by video call, phone, WhatsApp, email and courier, and clients who prefer to meet in person are welcome at our Gurugram office by appointment.
No. IEPF-5 claims are filed online, and companies and RTAs work on documents received by courier and email. Any paper that must be signed or notarised is executed by you in Kolkata.
Papers such as indemnity bonds and affidavits are executed on stamp paper, and stamp duty is set by the state where they are signed. We tell you which documents to execute, on what stamp value and in what wording, so they are accepted the first time.
Timelines depend on the company, the RTA and how complete your documents are, so we do not promise dates. RTA requests move once complete documents are received; IEPF claims take longer because both the company and IEPFA verify them.
In many cases, yes. When a company merges or is renamed, the shareholding usually carries over to the successor company under the scheme's terms. We trace the successor and its RTA first, then follow the normal claim route.
